The Council for Prevention offers free TIPS Training to bar and restaurant employees to teach them how to prevent drunk driving, underage drinking, and alcohol abuse. TIPS empowers bartenders and servers to take a proactive approach toward preventing alcohol misuse and maintaining control of their environments. Bar and restaurant employees learn to recognize the signs of intoxication, reducing the chance that an alcohol-related incident will occur in the establishments where they work. 

What TIPS Training Includes:

Bartenders and servers leave a training session prepared to:

Off-Premise TIPS Training for Grocery, Convenience, Wine, and Liquor Store Employees:

TIPS is a dynamic skills-based training program designed to prevent intoxication, drunk driving, and underage drinking. The program enhances the fundamental “people skills” of sellers of alcohol. TIPS gives store employees the knowledge and confidence they need to recognize potential alcohol-related problems and effectively intervene to prevent alcohol-related tragedies.
